No pain, no gain!!! REALLY??

NO PAIN, NO GAIN! A statement used by aspiring weight losers who eventually lose their morale instead and end up laying on their beds with a bowl of ice cream (sorry, i got a little personal ). But my question is that why do we even need to try? Why can we not be satisfied with what we are? Why do we really need to cut on some extra kilos to appeal others? And most importantly, who decides what we should ideally look like?
We certainly do not need to run after perfection because after all, no one is perfect and if anyone is, why on earth are the photo editing softwares required? The fact is that even the so called "perfect people" whom we too admire, have flaws. They just try to hide them, but let's face it! Acceptance is the only key to satisfaction. Being overweight is no sin, after all everyone has their individuality which they need to respect. Infact, you cannot consider this a hinderance in your way at all. This is just what you are and what you should be glad about. Everyone has certain talents which they need to find out and work for And so, EVERYONE IS SPECIAL and different from others. So, just keep in mind that you are awesome in your own way and no one is like you.
I myself have lately realised that we should take pride in being what we really are instead of being ashamed of it. LOVE YOURSELF for what you are. Only then you can gain love and respect for yourself in the eyes of others.
I do not mean that staying healthy is a wrong thing. It certainly is not. But only when you run for your health and not after the looks. Don't get inspired from the skinny and well built bodied celebrities to get a look of that kind. Rather, yourself inspire others to love themselves. Therefore, DON'T CHANGE YOURSELF, CHANGE THEIR OUTLOOK. :)
